Chairman
Chief Nyamweya is the co-founder and creative director of Pungulu Pa Productions and Freehand Studios – two digital arts and animation studios based in Nairobi, Kenya. His animations and graphic novels such as Art of Unlearning (2018), explore African history, philosophy, and natural heritage in the context of a rapidly transforming world. His most recent project is the children’s animated series titled Uli and Tata’s African Nursery Rhymes which follows two siblings on their adventure around Africa flying on the back of a giant turaco bird in search of her nursery rhymes.

Jeff Mandela is a highly accomplished figure in the animation industry in Africa, serving as the animation supervisor for Uli and Tata African Nursery Rhymes, Technical Director for Ambitious Africa, and as a lecturer at the United States International University Africa. With extensive experience in both Kenya and South Africa, Jeff has established himself as a leader in the African animation industry.

Ernest Livasia, a 2D motion design expert with over a decade of experience since 2010, leads as the General Manager at Chomoka Studios, where he’s been an integral part since its inception in 2010. His collaborative approach and commitment to positive change have resulted in impactful creative solutions for diverse global industries and organizations.
Joseph Raina

Joseph Raina, is seasoned Senior Animator at Jose Animation Studios, stands as a beacon for African storytelling and environmental advocacy through the medium of 3D animation. Renowned for projects like “SOS Ocean,” Joseph has consistently utilised animation to elevate African narratives and shed light on pressing environmental concerns.
